EDGE – Falling/rising edge detection in a binary signal

Function Description
The EDGE block detects rising (off $\to$ on) and/or falling (on $\to$ off) edges in the binary input signal U. The type of edges to detect is determined by the iedge parameter. As long as the input signal remains constant, the output Y is off. In the case when an edge corresponding with the iedge parameter is detected, the output Y is set to on for one sampling period.
