DEL – Delay with initialization

Function Description
The DEL block implements a delay of the input signal u. The signal is shifted n samples backwards, i.e.

The corresponding time delay is $n \cdot T_{S}$ , where $T_{S}$ is the block trigger period.

If the last n samples are not yet known, the output is set to

where $y_{0}$ is the initialization input signal. This can happen after restarting the control system or after resetting the block (R1: off $\to$ on $\to$ off) and it is indicated by the output $RDY = off$ .
